Many people may know Anri's signature number "Cat's Eye" and the single "Kanashimi ga Tomaranai" which recorded good sales, even if they don't know her personally. These tracks are included in the 1983 release "Timely!!" the second in the series of three albums produced by Toshiiki Kadomatsu, following "Coool"

First, let me clarify that the aforementioned "Cat's Eye" features an album version take with a cowbell break in the intro, which is really cool! DJ Yoshizawa Dynamite.JP also featured it in his mix "SUPER Wamono BEAT Vol. 4" This nice take is sure to score higher points with DJs than the commonly known single version.

Next, A2 "Windy Summer" starts with an intro reminiscent of Tatsuro Yamashita's "Sparkle" and is an outstanding summer tune with an effective use of the horn section! Similarly, the horn ensemble shines in her self-penned A4 "A Hope From Sad Street" as well as in B3 "Lost Love In The Rain" and B4 "Driving My Love" both written and composed by Toshiiki Kadomatsu. This second album in the Kadomatsu trilogy, no, in her entire discography, is an exceptional record that perfectly captures the brilliance of the 1980s!

彼女を知らずとも知ってる方も多いであろう杏里の代名詞ナンバー「キャッツ・アイ」やシングル・カットされ好セールスを記録した「悲しみがとまらない」等収録した、「Coool」に次ぐ角松敏生プロデュース3部作2枚目となる83年リリース作「タイムリー」

まず断っておきたいのが前述「キャッツ・アイ」がイントロからカウベル・ブレイク搭載のアルバム用テイクで実にクール！DJ吉沢Dynamite.JPも自身のミックス「SUPER和物BEAT 其の四」で取り上げた、DJさんには一般に知られているシングルverよりポイントが高いこと請け合いのNICEテイク。

からのA2「Windy Summer」は、達郎さん「Sparkle」風のイントロから素晴らしい、ホーン隊を効果的にあしらった本作出色のサマー・チューン！同様にホーン・アンサンブルが素晴らしい彼女のペンによるA4「A Hope From Sad Street」や角松敏生作詞曲のB3「Lost Love In The Rain」, B4「Driving My Love」等、80年代のキラキラが止まらない角松3部作、否、彼女のディスコグラフィーでも本命であろう極上盤でス！
