Although it shares overlapping material with the 1976 release “In Concert – Carnegie Hall”, which documented a live performance at Carnegie Hall featuring guest musician Hubert Laws, this version stands out for including a cover of Sam & Dave’s “Hold On, I’m Coming” as well as a previously unreleased rendition of Freddie Hubbard’s “Sky Dive.”
Incidentally, the recording was done at Van Gelder Studio!
