Mariko Tone (刀根麻理子) – Naturally

Mariko Tone, born in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, debuted with the theme song "Derringer" for the second season of the TV anime "Cat's Eye" Born in 1962, today is her birthday.

The featured album is her fourth, titled "Naturally" released on June 25, 1986.

It includes hidden synth-pop gems such as "A Second of Summer" (A4), composed by Ken Sato and used in a Minolta commercial, "Jealous Fire" (B3), written by Mariko herself and featured in a Yukijirushi Nature commercial, and "Private Number" (A5), an elegant standout track with English lyrics composed by Koji Tsuno.
