George Benson ‎– This Masquerade / Breezin' (ジョージ・ベンソン ‎– マスカレード)

A Japan-only 7" cut from his 1976 album—the first released after moving to Warner! The title track, written by Leon Russell and made famous by the Carpenters’ hit version, is the album’s only vocal number. Long recognized for his vocal ability, he took home the Grammy Award for Record of the Year with this song.

The coupling track “Breezin’” needs no introduction: much like Brasil ’66’s “Mas Que Nada,” his version became far more popular than the original and stands as his signature tune—an eternal summer anthem.
