The L.A. Express, featuring Tom Scott, was formed by skilled musicians including Joe Sample and Larry Carlton from The Crusaders. They released an album in 1974 that is included in the UBB classics!

From the forward-leaning funky jazz tunes like the opening track and A3 "King Cobra" and B3 "Strut Your Stuff" to the mellow B2 "Spindrift" which is in the same vein as "Sneakin' In The Back" sampled in Chris Lowe, Anda & Ill Pedestrians' "Midnight Blue" Vannessa Simon's "Better Place" and CJ Fly, T'nah, Chelsea Reject & Dessy Hinds' "Thee Heist" this album is a thoroughly satisfying Jazz Funk masterpiece!
