Tyrone Davis ‎– Give It Up (Turn It Loose) / You're Too Much

A cut 45 from “Love and Touch,” the 1976 release and eighth album by Mississippi-born soul singer Tyrone Davis, who reportedly entered the music business as an aide to Freddie King—a backstory almost reminiscent of an enka singer’s humble beginnings.

The songs were written and produced by Leo Graham, also known for penning The Manhattans’ hit “Shining Star,” with arrangements and conducting handled by James Mack.

From our shop’s perspective, the standout is definitely the B-side, “You’re Too Much,” which was also issued as a 12" cut—highly recommended.
