This album, his fourth as a leader, was released in 1980, and curiously, it’s his only work issued on Buddha Records. Departing from the spiritual style he had established on the Muse label, this album reflects a shift in sound and production, as Buddha Records brought in Vic Chirumbolo, who had previously worked as a sales manager for CTI in the 1970s. The sound here incorporates strings and features refreshing choruses reminiscent of Sky High’s style. The album primarily focuses on 4-beat tracks that return to a bebop vibe, including original pieces by keyboardist Onaje Allan Gumbs, like A1”Whan The Sky Is Clear” and B2”So Falls The Past”, as well as a standard on A3” Ain't Misbehavin'”

However, the highlight may be the rhythmic and funky title track written by Williams himself, sampled in Rino Mandingo’s “Anonymer Kommentar” Another refined track worth mentioning is the stylish cover of The Stylistics’ “Betcha by Golly, Wow!” on A2—definitely a charming addition if you listen closely!

60年頃からプロとして活動を開始、ジーン・アモンズのグループをはじめ、ベティー・カーター、ナンシー・ウィルソン、サラ・ヴォーン等フィメール・ヴォーカリストのレコーディングにも参加。60年代後半にNYに移り、ハービー・ハンコックのグループに加入、一時期はマイルスのグループでも活躍したニュージャージー州出身のベース奏者、バスター・ウィリアムスのリーダー・アルバムとしては4枚目、なぜか?本作のみブッダ・レコードよりリリースされた80年作。
それまでのミューズでのスピリチュアルな作風を一新、レーベルが変わればプロデューサーも変わるわけで、本作では70年代にCTIのセールス・マネージャーを務めていたVic Chirumboloが担当。サウンドではストリングスを取り入れ、SKY HIGH作品を思わせるような爽やかなコーラスが印象的。
本作のキーボード奏者、オナジェ・アーラン・ガムスのペンによるA1「When The Sky Is Clear」, B2「So Falls The Past」といったオリジナル曲をはじめ、スタンダード・ナンバーのA3「Ain't Misbehavin'」等、バップ回帰路線といえるであろう4ビート曲が中心ですが、本命はウィリアムス自身のライティングでRino Mandingo「Anonymer Kommentar」でサンプリングされた、リズミカル且つファンキーなタイトル曲でしょうか。
よく聴くとわかるwスタイリスティックス「Betcha by Golly, Wow!」カヴァーのA2も洒落おつでス！
