Carmen McRae ‎– Just A Little Lovin'

Legendary female jazz vocalist Carmen McRae’s fourth Atlantic release, "Just a Little Lovin’" (1970), is a standout album in her discography.

The title track, originally performed by Dusty Springfield and written by Mann and Weil, is a sublime version that gained renewed attention when re-edited by the French group Outlines in 2003. Other highlights include covers of The Beatles’ "Here, There and Everywhere" (A6) and "Carry That Weight" (B1), as well as Laura Nyro’s "Goodbye Joe" There’s also a surprise addition of Willie Dixon’s blues number "I Love the Life I Live" showcasing McRae’s versatility. This album is a masterpiece that fully highlights the depth and charm of her vocal artistry.
