For some reason, this one album alone was released on a minor Atlanta label, Audiophile (for hi-fi enthusiasts), in 1977. On it, the ever-intellectual Mark Murphy takes up the works of two figures—Dorothy Fields and Cy Coleman—quite literally embodying them. Dorothy Fields was a brilliant female lyricist who wrote lyrics for more than 400 Broadway musicals and film songs over her career, achieving great success. Cy Coleman, likewise, was a composer and pianist who thrived in the world of Broadway and had strong ties with Dorothy. Side A is the “Cy Side,” Side B the “Dorothy Side.” The opening track, “I Love My Wife,” comes from the Broadway musical On the Twentieth Century, for which Coleman wrote the score; the show was revived in 1978, a year after this album’s release. A2, “I’m Gonna Laugh You Right Out of My Life”, first sung by Nat King Cole in 1956 and since covered by Natalie Cole and Holly Cole, has become a standard. A3 “When in Rome”, A4 “On Second Thought”, and A6 “I Walk a Little Faster” were written in collaboration with the talented lyricist Carolyn Leigh. A5 is the title song from the 1973 musical Seesaw, lyrics by Dorothy Fields—a superb ballad that irresistibly draws you in. A6 was originally sung by Tony Bennett and later covered by Blossom Dearie. A7, “That’s My Style,” with lyrics by Peggy Lee, appeared on her 1964 album In Love Again! Incidentally, the album’s title track also came from the Lee/Coleman pairing. As mentioned, Side B consists entirely of lyrics by Dorothy Fields. B1 “Don’t Blame Me” and B3 “I’m in the Mood for Love” (from the 1935 musical Every Night at Eight) were both composed by Jimmy McHugh. B1 was originally sung by Rudy Vallée, and the Everly Brothers had a hit with it in 1961. B2 “Remind Me”, B4 “A Fine Romance”, and B5 “April Fooled Me” were composed by Jerome Kern, the first two originally featured in the 1940 musical One Night in the Tropics. Ella Fitzgerald also sang them on her Jerome Kern Songbook. The album closes with another Coleman number from Seesaw. A clever touch, and one worthy of Murphy’s intellectual leanings.

A面がサイ・サイド、B面がドロシー・サイドとなっていて、冒頭曲「I Love My Wife」は本作がリリースされた77年の翌78年に復活公開された、コールマンが音楽を担当したブロードウェイ・ミュージカル「On the Twentieth Century」より。
Nat King Coleが56年に歌いスタンダードとなったA2「I'm Gonna Laugh You Right Out Of My Life」は、

ペギー・リーで、64年発表の彼女のアルバム「In Love Again!」より。ちなみにタイトル曲も同じタッグによる作曲です。
B面は前述のとおり作詞は全てドロシー。B1「Don't Blame Me」, 35年のミュージカル「Every Night at Eight」で起用されたB3「I'm In The Mood For Love」の作曲はJimmy McHugh。B1は
