The best Japanese ROCK band as of today. The band Johnny, Louis & Char, formerly known as Pink Crowd, was formed by former Yellow drummer Johnny Yoshinaga, guitarist Naoto Takenaka aka Char, and former Golden Cups bassist Luis Luis Kabe.
The songs on this album are mainly so-called “hard rock tunes” with very simple riffs, and include ballad numbers such as A4 “Low n' Top” and A5 “Close Your Eyes”, which are mellow tunes reminiscent of Prince, and B5 “In the White Room”, which is a Japanese Average White Band song that could have been sampled by anyone. The real winner is A7 “Little Harbor”, a song that even Flipper's Guitar fans would be surprised to hear. Harbor”, which even Flipper's Guitar fans will be surprised at!
